When i finished watching this video,
I' m totally agree with it which is creativity is start from believe..
It make me think about the lecture gave by our lecturer last time
:"My child look out of my car's window and said 'Dad! You see! The cloud looks like a dragon!', that time I was just thinking that, why I didn't notice that the cloud looks like dragon but my son did?" and then my lecturer continue and said:"It's just because adults always think of too many things and scare of too many things, and this make us become not creativity anymore. For the child, they just do what they think, they just do what they want. We should do so."

Yes, we all are creativity when we are born and why should we reduce our creativity, our imagination when we growing up? We should keep improve our mind and creativity and should believe that we can make it always.
Everything is possible if you trust on yourself and said ' I can do it!' for yourself then you will done it very well, just believe that you are creativity.

The above is all about the initiators of thinking.
There are still a lot of thinking initiators such as arts.
The thinking initiators is very important to let us improve our thinking and mind, we cant walk forward without improve our mind our thinking.

Creativity vs Critical Thinking

Brain are divided by left and right that are logic(Left Brain) and creative(Right Brain). This both part of the brain are very important, it helps us to think, create new things, solve problem, etc. Without left brain, we are only a thinker that won't do anythings and keep on thinking living in a unrealistic world. Without right brain, we only live on our 5 sensors(see, hear, touch, taste, and smell), and won't think of doing something better.

Creativity could be art, when we design something new, think of a solution, create new technology and evolution is creative that make us moving to a future. There's a quote told by a celebrity of how to be creative, "the secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your source - Albert Einstein" He create a lot of things, and make new theory and concept that no one dare to think of it. He dare to think creatively and solve his own question by thinking critically. When both creativity and think critically join together, something new will come out, either the new things is bad or good, it is an invention, a creation.

As my opinion, both creativity and critical thinking are very important. Think critically can help us reflect on uncertainty and response things even faster; and creativity that can make us think of many uncertainty, so we could solve it before it even exist.

Sir James Dyson has reinvented the fan!
He had apply his creativity on the old type of fan.He has reinvented a fan that do no need the leaf for the fan and will produce more air flow to keep us cooler without the dangerous blade. The idea of creating this special fan derives from the jet air hand dryer .This shows he is able to think critically of a common design to create a new design.

Creativity can be an art.It depends on how you look at it and which angle are you looking at.
Since the time of socrates and aristotle ,a human kind has been using the power of creativity to resolve human needs and problems .Some people use creativity to fulfill their ecstatic needs.Example of such people are Van Gogh and Leonardo Davinci.
Besides, creativity is for us to create something new.To be creative,we must change the way we see the world and start creating new combination. We can keep all the new ideas relevant by keep thinking with all the information that we have.We should always combine everything we know with everything we know to create something that we don't know or something that we have dreamed of. We are able to think because we have knowledge or information. Where we get our information and knowledge? It all come from books, internet and school. Moreover we also get our information and knowledge via our eyes, nose, ears, tongue, and also skin. All the information are stored in fixed pattern in our brain. Therefore, all thinking works in the exact same patterns. For example, if we see a frog, we will automatically know that the frog is green colour , it lives in pond catching flies. That is what thinking had tie our mind with but Creativity is about thinking freely, like a frog could be anything and a frog is not just a frog. So we have to break all the boundaries in our mind. Creativity is pure freedom of thinking.

1.Creativity takes time and silent space. Each creative talent needs to stake out some quiet time regularly. You can schedule time daily or a couple of days a week. This needs to be an appointment and commitment you keep with yourself. 2.There are cycles of creativity. Just as there are seasons in a year and cycles in preparing, planting, nurturing, waiting and harvesting there are creative cycles. We are not always in the harvesting phase. We do go through the dormant cycles of winter that feel as though nothing is happening. We complete the cycle and move into the planting and harvesting phases. 3.Select mentors, friends and dream partners wisely. "Don't expect anyone to be happy for your success or big dreams. If you have a loved one and a friend or two who are happy for you, consider yourself lucky." Other people can stop or delay your project or idea before you even act on it. So select your creative team carefully. Remain friends with lots of people but when it comes to working creatively, choose like minds and train them to be honest and unconditionally constructive.4.Commit to yourself. Many people feel guilty when they take the time to engage in their projects. It may mean leaving something undone, not over committing and saying no. In a study of women and creativity the biggest fear was fear of lost or weakened relationships. People still need to be connected. This may mean speaking with friends, lovers and children about staying connected and nurtured during this process. 5.Set strong boundaries. "I say no to many things, so that I may say 'Yes!' to what gives me life." We need strong boundaries so hat we have energy and time for our creations. 6.Work from your strengths. If you were to spend 80% of your effort to become good at a weakness you might improve that area 20%. But if you were to spend that same 80% of your effort to improve an area of atrength. you may improve your strengths 100-400% or more! 7.Fear is a companion of creativity. Make friends with fear. Unless you have a high risk, thrill seeking personality you will experience fear when you venture out into unfamiliar territory. It's OK to pause, look at it, slow down for a moment. However, do NOT let it stop you! Feel the fear and continue! The only way to lessen fear is to do the things we are most afraid of. We are always in a higher state of emotional arousal when we try something new. Expect fear, redefine fear as performance energy and move on. 8.Stop criticising yourself. We can defeat ourselves before we start by constantly feeling we come up short. When you try something new always stay positive about your performance. Yes, you can polish it and improve, but you don't have to make yourself 'wrong' to make something better. 9.Get over perfectionism. When you have to do something perfectly, you will rarely try something new because you can't do it perfectly the first few times. Yes do great work, but don't hold onto it until it's perfect. By the time it's perfect, it'll probably be outdated anyway. 10.Play, have fun, feel joyful, get in the energy flow. Creativity is about play, fun and flow. When you lose track of time and have boundless energy, doing the thing you love, you know you've found your highest creative expression.

Critical Thinking and Creative Thinking Skills

Critical Thinking and Creative Thinking Skills
Scott Isaksen's and Donald Treffinger's critical thinking and creative thinking model.

By Mary Bellis adapted from materials written by the USPTO

Creative Problem Solving Model
The third model developed by Scott Isaksen and Donald Treffinger as described in the book "Creative Problem Solving: The Basic Course (1985) by Isaksen and Treffinger" and published in Buffalo, New York, by Bearly Limited, also describes both critical thinking and creative thinking. Creative thinking is described as making and communicating connections to: think of many possibilities; think and experience in various ways and use different points of view; think of new and unusual possibilities; and guide in generating and selecting alternatives. Critical thinking is described as analyzing and developing possibilities to: compare and contrast many ideas; improve and refine ideas; make effective decisions and judgments; and provide a sound foundation for effective action. These definitions are used in a six-stage, problem-solving process. A brief description of each of the six stages follows:
  1. Mess Finding: Just what's the mess that needs cleaning up, the situation that demands our attention? We have to identify and acknowledge this first before we can proceed.
  2. Data Finding: Once the general mess is defined, the next stage involves "taking stock"--unearthing and collecting information, knowledge, facts, feelings, opinions, and thoughts to sort out and clarify your mess more specifically. What do you know about the situation, and what do you still need to know?
  3. Problem Finding: Now that your data is collected, you need to formulate a "problem statement" that expresses the "heart" of the situation. You must try to put aside the common assumption that you "already know what the problem is" and try to state the problem in such a manner as to invite novel perspectives on it.
  4. Idea Finding: This is the state in which you brainstorm as many ideas or alternatives as possible for dealing with your problem statement. Don't evaluate your ideas at this point, merely list them as an idea pool from which you'll draw in putting together a variety of solutions to your problem.
  5. Solution Finding: Now that you have a number of ideas that can serve as possible solutions to your problem, it's time to evaluate them systematically. To do this you have to generate a variety of criteria and select the most important for your problem. Is it cost? expediency? pleasure? time involvement? etc. In this way, you'll be able to identify and evaluate the relative strengths and weaknesses of possible solutions.
  6. Acceptance Finding: Having decided upon a solution, it's time to formulate a plan of action to implement your solution. Determine what kind of help you'll need, what obstacles or difficulties might get in the way, and what specific short- and long-term steps you are going to take to rid yourself of that original mess!

Self's comment:
This is an article is about the way that think criticaly and creativity. Two different kind of world but have the similar way to solve problem. But the different is,critical thinking must be logic and prefect example a biology exam or an accident. The creative thinking is to think creativity and have an idea that people will not think about it.No matter it is critical thinking or creative thinking, the most important is the presentation.

Myths about Creative Thinking

Much of the thinking done in formal education emphasizes the skills of analysis--teaching students how to understand claims, follow or create a logical argument, figure out the answer, eliminate the incorrect paths and focus on the correct one. However, there is another kind of thinking, one that focuses on exploring ideas, generating possibilities, looking for many right answers rather than just one. Both of these kinds of thinking are vital to a successful working life, yet the latter one tends to be ignored until after college.

1. Every problem has only one solution (or one right answer). The goal of problem solving is to solve the problem, and most problems can be solved in any number of ways. If you discover a solution that works, it is a good solution. There may be other solutions thought of by other people, but that doesn't make your solution wrong.

2. The best answer/solution/method has already been found. Look at the history of any solution set and you'll see that improvements, new solutions, new right answers, are always being found.

3. Creative answers are complex technologically. Only a few problems require complex technological solutions. Most problems you'll meet with require only a thoughtful solution requiring personal action and perhaps a few simple tools. Even many problems that seem to require a technological solution can be addressed in other ways.

4. Ideas either come or they don't. Nothing will help. There are many successful techniques for stimulating idea generation. We will be discussing and applying them.

My Opinion:
Creative thinking can be stimulated both by an unstructured process such as brainstorming, and by a structured process such as lateral thinking. In addition, creative thinking is a way of looking at problems or situations from a fresh perspective that suggests unorthodox solutions.
